Often living in poverty, they face daily struggles that climate change only worsens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Almajiri system, once a respected tradition of Qur\u2019anic learning in northern Nigeria, has been weakened by poverty, urbanization, and the erosion of community support. Today, over 10 million Almajiri children live on the margins, many forced to beg for food, with little access to education, healthcare, or safe living conditions. This makes them especially vulnerable to flooding, extreme heat, and poor sanitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" their exclusion from climate conversations, Ambassador Fatima Adam, a youth leader, activist, and global advocate launched The Almajiri Climate Action Story as part of the QS Impact Global Day of Action 2025 under the theme \u201cEducating the Next Generation on Climate Action.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cClimate justice must include everyone especially those whose voices have been silenced for too long,\u201d said Ambassador Fatima Adam. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhen we educate the Almajiri children today, we are planting seeds of
