Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support and interventions in advancing the welfare of Nigerian students.
The commendation came during the swearing-in of the 2025 National Executive Council of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.
A statement issued by Mati Ali, the minister’s media aide, highlighted the president’s role in youth empowerment as crucial to national growth.
As NANS grand patron, Badaru applauded Tinubu’s dedication to nurturing a self-reliant and patriotic younger generation. He affirmed that Nigerian students remain appreciative of the president’s leadership and contributions to their development.
The minister also commended the students for their resilience and engagement throughout the recent elections. Acknowledging the tensions of the electoral process, he urged unity behind the new NANS leadership, stressing collaboration to achieve shared goals.
“Let us remain united; united we are. Let us stand united, and the mission will be accomplished,” Badaru declared, reiterating his gratitude to Tinubu while calling for continued focus on collective progress.
