The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced impressive financial results for July 2025, revealing it generated N4.40 trillion in monthly revenue while achieving a profit after tax of N185 billion.
The national energy company disclosed in its Thursday operational update that it had remitted a total of N7.96 trillion to statutory agencies between January and July this year, demonstrating strong fiscal responsibility amid ongoing industry challenges.
The company maintained substantial production levels with crude oil and condensate output reaching 1.70 million barrels per day alongside natural gas production of 7.72 billion standard cubic feet daily. To sustain these production volumes, NNPCL outlined a comprehensive strategy focusing on three key areas: improving production facility uptime, strengthening collaboration with stakeholders, and enhancing overall operational efficiency across its assets.
Critical gas infrastructure projects showed significant progress according to the report. The company has deployed additional subcontractors to accelerate mainline construction work on the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline project, while implementing a revised execution strategy to expedite completion of the OB3 Gas Pipeline’s River Niger Crossing.
Notably, a 113-kilometer portion of the OB3 Gas Pipeline has already been commissioned and is currently delivering approximately 300 million standard cubic feet per day of gas from the field.
