In a blistering condemnation, former Nigerian Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has called for the immediate severance of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Israel, describing the Israel as “an ethno-fascist, apartheid, racist, child-killing, mass-murdering, ethnic-cleansing, genocidal state.” The fiery statement comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran.
Fani-Kayode’s scathing critique spared no punches as he catalogued Israel’s military actions across the region. He accused Israel of having “levelled every standing structure in Gaza and murdered over 200,000 innocent civilians, including women and children, in just one year,” while also condemning its operations in the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
The former minister saved particular criticism for Israel’s recent attack on Iran during ongoing peace negotiations with the United States, which he characterized as a “brutal and unprovoked attack” targeting military leaders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
“The Israeli government is a lunatic, rogue state which considers itself above the law,” Fani-Kayode asserted, accusing it of pursuing regional dominance through its “Greater Israel” ambitions while showing “no respect for or fear of God.”
He further described Israel as a nation “which places no value on human life” and warned of its potential to “plunge the entire world into WW3” through its belief in “religious and racial supremacy and Zionist hegemony.”
The former aviation minister framed his demand for severed ties in moral terms, insisting that “Nigeria has no business maintaining diplomatic relations with such an evil pariah state and vile entity which feeds on the blood and souls of the innocent, the weak and the vulnerable.”
In a pointed conclusion, Fani-Kayode suggested Israel may finally be facing meaningful resistance after decades of military dominance. “The good news is that it looks as if they have met their match,” he declared, “and for the first time in 76 years the Jewish state is getting as good as it dishes out to others.”
