The Embassy of Japan in Nigeria recently hosted a Farewell and Welcome Reception for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholars on August 30, 2025. The event honored departing scholars embarking on their studies in Japan and celebrated the achievements of those who have recently returned, enriched by their experiences.
During the reception, Ambassador Suzuki Hideo delivered an inspiring address, encouraging the scholars to embrace their potential as future leaders, not only within Nigeria but across the African continent. He emphasized the importance of their roles in fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and collaboration between Japan and Nigeria.

Esteemed members of the Nigeria-Japan Alumni Association (NAIJAA) also graced the occasion, highlighting the enduring spirit of collaboration and the continuous dedication of NAIJAA members in cultivating robust relationships between the two countries.
