The Presidency has strongly refuted allegations by former African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman Ralph Nwosu that he was offered three ministerial positions to abandon opposition coalition plans, dismissing the claims as entirely baseless.

Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, took to social media Wednesday to categorically deny Nwosu’s assertions, stating: “From his words as reported, you know that he lied.”

Bwala emphasized that only President Tinubu holds the authority to make ministerial appointments, noting: “If such an offer were ever made, it would have come directly from Mr President.”

He challenged Nwosu’s failure to name specific officials involved, arguing: “The same courage he mustered to allege he was promised slots could have been used to name names and positions.”

The presidential aide didn’t mince words about the ADC’s coalition efforts, sarcastically remarking: “They are painfully graduating to an association of jesters, or Association of Disorganised Characters.”

The denial comes amid heightened political tensions as opposition parties explore potential alliances ahead of future elections.
