The Grandson of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ibrahim Alhassan, has been conferred the traditional title of ‘Chikasoron Jiwa’, by the Chief (Sarki) of Jiwa, in the federal capital territory, Abuja, His Royal Highness, Dr Idris Musa (MFR).
A letter, personally signed by the Sarki, conveying the appointment, dated September 3rd, 2025, titled, ‘Letter of Appointment As Chikasoron Jiwa ‘, partly read, “on behalf of Jiwa traditional council, I wish to convey the approval of your appointment as Chikasoron Jiwa”.
The letter further read, “this is in recognition of your contributions to the community, loyalty and good relationship with the Palace”
“In view of the aforementioned, the entire Jiwa traditional council deems it worthy to confer on this prestigious title. The council therefore wishes you to be a good ambassador of the Jiwa traditional council, community and the federal capital territory in general, showing a character worthy of title”, the letter stressed.
Commenting on the appointment, the Honourable Minister of State of the FCT, Dr Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, described the appointment as a very worthy recognition of service and contributions of the Chikasoron Jiwa.
She therefore thanked the Sarki and the Jiwa traditional council for the gesture, trusting that the title holder who is a very disciplined personality will leave no stone unturned in his patriotic commitment to justify the confidence reposed in him.
She wished the Sarkin Jiwa abundant health and long life to continue to work towards developing the traditional council and supporting the good and commendable efforts of the Honourable Minister, Nyesom Wike, to make the FCT pride of the country and Africa.
