President Bola Ahmed Tinubu departed Abuja today, September 4th, for a 10-day “working vacation” in Europe.

The trip was confirmed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who stated the “vacation will last 10 working days” and that the President will spend the period between France and the UK before returning to Nigeria.

This European trip follows shortly after the President’s return from a 12-day diplomatic mission to Japan and Brazil, which included stopovers in Dubai and Los Angeles.

During that trip, which lasted from August 15th to August 28th, he participated in the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) and held talks with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, resulting in the signing of several memoranda of understanding.

This is the President’s second trip to Europe this year, after a 19-day private visit to France and the United Kingdom in April.
