President Bola Tinubu has approved automatic employment for the four children of the late Head of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Civil Service, Dr. Grace Adayilo.
The announcement was made by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike on Saturday during Adayilo’s funeral service at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja.Wike, describing her death as a “painful loss,” praised Adayilo as a devoted and hardworking public servant. He stated that the President’s decision was aimed at supporting the family following the loss of their breadwinner.
“On behalf of the FCT Administration and Mr. President, I extend our deepest condolences to her family,” Wike said. “The President has instructed that her four children be offered automatic employment, understanding that the family has lost its breadwinner.”
The Minister also commended the late Head of Service for ensuring timely payment of salaries and benefits to workers and for her positive influence as a community leader.
The funeral service was attended by senior government officials, colleagues, and family members, who remembered Adayilo as a selfless leader and a motherly figure dedicated to the welfare of others.
