FG Committed to Poverty Reduction, Fight Against TB — First Lady

Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to reducing the trend of Tuberculosis and poverty among youths and women in the country.

Tinubu gave the assurance during the Renewed Hope Food Outreach Scheme initiative held at the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission Building, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

The First Lady, who stressed the negative impacts of tuberculosis on Nigerian youths and women, said her leadership had made plans to set up environmental clubs among secondary school students and make funds available to tackle the disease and reduce its impact to the minimum level across the country.

Similarly, wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, said that the flagging off of the food distribution to the vulnerable in Oyo State, makes it extended to 10 states, including Benue, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kogi, Abia and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
