A University Don and traditional title holder, Professor Katuka Yaki has called on Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, to take concrete steps to ensure justice and restore peace in Asso and Tanda communities in Jama’a local government area of the state, following the recent attacks that resulted in the loss of precious lives in those communities
Professor Yaki, who is the Wakilin Ilmin Keffi, described the senseless killing as barbaric and urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action to prevent further violence and possible threats in the affected communities and beyond.
In a statement, Professor Yaki expressed deep sadness over the incident and commended the efforts of HRH Col PZ Wyoms, Chairman of the Gwong Traditional Council, and government officials for their prompt action in response to the crisis.
Their prompt visits to the affected communities and efforts to promote sustainable peace, hope, understanding, and reconciliation have been truly appreciated.
The Professor prayed for peace to be restored to Asso, Tanda, and beyond, emphasizing the importance of unity and stability in the region. He acknowledged the critical role of leaders in promoting peace and reconciliation.
