Renowned analyst and Public commentator, Reno Omokri, has described the recent interview of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, on Channels Television as lacking in cognitive reasoning
According to Omokri, El-Rufai’s intellect has seriously deteriorated, and the interview was a painful watch.
Omokri noted that despite El-Rufai’s expectations, the interview failed to gain traction or achieve its intended purpose. He pointed out that the interview’s low viewership, with only 17,000 views an hour after being posted, was a testament to El-Rufai’s waning influence.
The analyst attributed El-Rufai’s poor performance to cognitive decline, citing his hesitation in sentences, lack of quick-wittedness, and absence of his signature “I don’t care” attitude.
Omokri suggested that El-Rufai’s recent electoral setbacks in the state may have taken a toll on him or that he might be tired.
Omokri also highlighted the fact that El-Rufai’s own son, Bello, has distanced himself from his father’s party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and instead supported President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
In Omokri’s view, El-Rufai’s political influence is on a downward spiral, and diminishing returns have set in. He predicted that El-Rufai’s influence will continue to ebb until it dies a natural death.
